Geometry Faces

We have been discussing different shapes and how we can recognize them. The first set of pictures are showing the children cutting out the different shapes and then arranging them to make a face. The next set of pictures show the finished article and you can see them up on the back wall of Room 7.

Room 7 workers.

Room 7 children are just the best little workers. They are learning how to do some recreational work after they have completed all their tasks.

PPP 2012

Dear Parents,

Here are our first group of PPP children working in Room 7, for 2012. They were so excited that they were doing real schoolwork, just like a 5 year old!

Week 1 2012

Welcome to Room 7 for 2012. We have had a fantastic start to the year. Your child would love for you to come and see their work.

Room 7 and 8 vegetable garden

As you can see from the photos , the vegetables are growing at a fantastic rate and the children are really enjoying making their salad sandwiches with the lettuce.

Discovery time

Every Friday morning Room 7 and Room 8 children join together for discovery time. We have a variety of activities and the children move around and experience each activity. It is a lot of fun and the children experience talking about what they are doing and what they have just learnt. Sometimes they go and pick the fresh vegetables from our class garden and make themselves a salad sandwich.

Next Wednesday 24th August we will be having a refresher THRASS session to go over the basics in Room 7 at 3.00pm. All interested parents are welcome to attend.

Discovery time

Gardening

On Tuesday Room 7 had a lovely time planting out our new garden. We all had a plant to put into the ground and most of us planted a cauliflower. The plants that are in the garden are lettuce, spinach, cauliflower, cabbage,and broccoli. We hope some parents will send some more plants to school because we still have some spare space.
